Skiing at Mount Snow
Mount Snow is
the closest major ski area to the
metropolitan areas of the northeast.
Only 25 miles from I-91,
it is easily reached from the New
York metropolitan area and the
mid-Atlantic. Mount Snow offers a
variety of novice and intermediate
cruising trails on the main face or
Carinthia, or try the North Face for
challenging expert skiing.
Fall
Foliage
In the fall,
the Green Mountains become a rainbow
of color as the yellow and red of a
New England autumn replace the green
of summer. Autumn is harvest time in
Southern Vermont. The days are warm
and the nights are cool. It is an
ideal time for a late season round
of golf for your getaway.
Summer
Summer is the
time to enjoy outdoor activities in
the Mount Snow Valley. Golf at the
Mount Snow or
Haystack courses, or enjoy hiking,
mountain biking, fishing, and
swimming. Take a boat ride on the
Harriman Reservoir. From the Lodge,
it is an easy drive to visit the
many restaurants, gift shops and
antique stores in Wilmington. From
there, follow Route 9, the Molly
Stark Trail, to Bennington or
Brattleboro.
There's
plenty to do around the Valley!
Do you
enjoy the outdoors? Like to hike?
Mount Snow Vermont is the place to
get out and enjoy the Green
Mountains, with hiking trail
available at Mount Snow, Haystack
Peak, Sommerset Reservoir, and the
Molly Stark State Park.
If mountain biking is
your favorite summer activity, then
you'll have a wonderful time with
us! Mount Snow offers mountain bike
trails and instruction that is
second to none in New England.
Perhaps you'd like to
try your hand at fly fishing. No
problem!
Taddingers offers certified
Orvis fly fishing instruction, and
they'll even take you out on the
Deerfield River for your own guided
fishing excursion. In
addition to the activities above,
you can go swimming or rent a
wave-runner for a day on Lake
Whitingham, or just browse the
numerous gift shops in nearby
downtown Wilmington.
